Mike Ennes

Senior Vice President, Asset Management

Mike leads Federal’s residential portfolio, as well as the Virginia and Chicago shopping center portfolios. In his role, he is responsible for the strategy and performance of 2,500 residential units and 24 retail centers comprising more than 5.5 million square feet of real estate.

Since joining Federal in 2015 as vice president, residential, Mike has led several departments, including corporate communications and Mid-Atlantic regional marketing, and initiated the firm’s market intelligence and research function in 2021. His creativity and vision, coupled with his business acumen, have been instrumental in marketing and launching fully integrated mixed-use projects.

Previously, Mike held positions as senior director of brand development for luxury and lifestyle brands at Hilton Worldwide. He was responsible for supporting global development efforts for the Waldorf Astoria and Conrad brands and led the creation of Canopy, Hilton’s first global lifestyle brand. His prior roles include hotel development and contract negotiation, hospitality real estate consulting and valuation, and hotel operations.

Mike holds a master of business administration, with a specialization in hotel finance and investments, from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Arts from The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University.
