Deirdre M. Johnson

Deirdre leads Federal’s Maryland/Florida region, overseeing some of the company’s most iconic destinations, including Pike & Rose, Bethesda Row, and CocoWalk. She brings more than 25 years of experience across commercial portfolios of varying formats and scale.

Since joining Federal in 2007, Deirdre has built a consistent record of NOI growth and long-term value creation. Her approach pairs inventive redevelopment and repositioning with disciplined acquisitions and a thoughtful eye for capital allocation. After being promoted to senior vice president, asset management in 2018, she and her team sharpened portfolio performance through creative remerchandising and rebranding, distinctive paid-parking programs, and marketing tailored to the character of each community.

Previously, Deirdre spearheaded the launch of Federal’s Virginia Regional Office in Tysons, a cornerstone of the company’s growth strategy in a region where investment surpassed $500 million.

Deirdre holds the Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designations from the International Council of Shopping Centers, and is an active member of ULI, NAIOP, and ICSC. She is a graduate of Old Dominion University.
