Altaf Mir

Altaf leads Federal Realty’s strategy for enterprise infrastructure, property technology, and cybersecurity, and co-leads the company’s information technology function. He brings more than 25 years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure, and security.

Since joining Federal in 2002, Altaf has held roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as senior director of information technology operations. In that role he led governance of the company’s enterprise systems and partnered with business units across the organization.

Before Federal, he held engineering roles supporting enterprise and government clients in telecommunications and defense. His work included managed data center services for UPS through Sprint, infrastructure support for a U.S. Navy shipbuilding program, and a distance learning system for the Army National Guard.
