David Anderson
Vice President, Controller
David oversees Federal Realty’s corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the company’s financial operations.
His background spans nearly 15 years in corporate accounting and financial reporting, most recently as Vice President and Assistant Corporate Controller at Playa Hotels and Resorts, where he led corporate accounting and financial reporting through a period of significant growth and complexity, including a public offering and eventual acquisition. Before that, he held accounting and audit roles at Exelis and KPMG, where he developed deep expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and SOX compliance, including experience with publicly traded REITs.
David is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from James Madison University.
