Mickey Papillon

Vice President, Asset Management

Mickey is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of operation for Federal’s Maryland portfolio. In his role, he leads the region’s operating strategy and structure ensuring maximum profitability and return on investment while acting as a senior business partner to all stakeholders of large-scale, mixed-use projects and open air shopping centers, including key assets Bethesda Row and Pike & Rose.  

Mickey joined Federal in 2013 as general manager of Santana Row in San Jose, California and has since held multiple other roles within the company. Prior to joining Federal, he was most recently senior property manager at Macerich, where he worked for 12 years at various properties through Arizona in a variety of management and security positions.

Mickey graduated with a bachelor of science in Justice Studies from Arizona State University. He was awarded the ICSC Certified Retail Real Estate Professional (CRRP) designation in 2019 and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation in 2009. Mickey is also an active member of various local committees including Maryland State Government Relations chair for the International Council of Shopping Centers, vice-chair for the White Flint Downtown Advisory Committee, board member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, and treasurer of Friends of White Flint.
