Federal Realty is sourcing for an experienced Facilities/Property Site Engineer. The Facilities/Property Site Engineer is responsible for the day to day maintenance of the property or properties assigned to.

Responsibilities

Diagnosis, Repair, and Maintenance:  Perform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on assigned property systems including but are not limited to the following:

  • HVAC systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Plumbing systems
  • Appliances
  • Floorings
  • Painted surfaces
  • Structures
  • Roofing
  • Concrete sidewalks and curbs
  • Asphalt parking fields
  • Various types of furnishings, fixtures, equipment and tools
  • Operation of boom and scissor lifts and operation of motor vehicles as needed

Working with Contract Services:  Works with the Contracted Services to ensure property is maintained to best in class standard. Contract Services include but are not be limited to the following:

  • Security
  • Janitorial
  • Parking Lot Sweeping
  • Landscaping
  • Roofing
  • Refuse (bulk removal)
  • Compactors/Open Top containers
  • Parking lot repairs
  • Fire alarm monitoring
  • Glass repair/replacement
  • Storm Water Inspections
  • Fire Sprinkler
  • Snow removal
  • Pest Control
  • Fence Installation or repair
  • Signage
  • Chiller and Cooling Tower
  • Locksmith
  • Plumbing
  • Elevator
  • Towing
  • Disaster Floods and Environmental Cleanup and mediation
  • Signage
  • Tenant Improvement

Working with Federal Realty departments:  The Facilities/Property Site Engineer will, at times, be required to assist the following departments in order to promote the company’s marketing, leasing, construction, and collection efforts:

  • Supports the Marketing Group in their delivery of events both within and outside assigned properties
  • Supports the Leasing department as needed, to show space, make sure vacant spaces are kept clean and presentable, are identified as required, and are “turn over ready”
  • Works with tenant coordination and development departments on tenant construction and property construction projects
  • Supports the legal and collections team with tenant communications
  • Assists the Property Manager with daily routine maintenance of assigned properties

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years hands on work experience in building engineer and maintenance environment
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record 
  • Certificates in various trade skills preferred
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexible with work schedule; available for emergency calls
  • Weekend and overtime hours are sometimes required on an as needed basis
